Product Details
Recorded in 1962, this meeting between two giants of American music captured something genuinely rare: Duke Ellington stepping out of his own orchestra context to work in an intimate quartet setting alongside Coltrane, with each man's rhythm section represented. The generational and stylistic distance between them only deepened the conversation, Ellington's sophistication and Coltrane's modal intensity finding more common ground than anyone might have predicted.
180 gram VINYL AUDIOPHILE PRESSING.
