Kacey Musgraves – Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes (CD)
Product Details
Kacey Musgraves has always worn her East Texas roots openly, but her affection for Tex-Mex and norteño runs deeper than aesthetic. Growing up in Golden, Texas, close to the cultural borderlands where country, folk, and conjunto have long traded melodies across the Rio Grande, she's been pointing toward a project like this for years.
Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes picks up where Kacey Musgraves left off, expanding on themes of solitude, contentment, and finding beauty in the in-between. Across 16 songs, from the instant classic “Denim on Denim” to four sung entirely in Spanish, among them a new version of “Uncertain, TX” featuring Intocable, the album explores the deep-rooted connection between Texas and Mexico, two places close to Kacey’s heart, bound by generations of shared music, culture, and tradition.
