Product Details

Recorded partly at Chicago's Water Tower and with contributions from the Sunday Service Choir, the album arrived after months of West's gospel-focused Sunday Service performances had already built anticipation among fans and critics alike. It won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2021, a category few hip-hop releases had ever seriously contended in, marking a genuine shift in how the Recording Academy treated the intersection of rap and devotional music.

Jesus Is King is the ninth studio album by American rapper and producer Kanye West. It was released on October 25, 2019, through GOOD Music and distributed by Def Jam Recordings. The album follows a Christian theme, with West describing it as "an expression of the gospel." Available on vinyl May 1st.
