Kenny Barron spent the 1980s and early '90s quietly cementing a reputation as one of the most lyrical pianists in post-bop jazz, a period that produced some of his most searching solo and small-group work. Recorded the same year as his celebrated duo sessions with Stan Getz, *Lemura-Seascape* captures Barron at a creative peak, with Van Gelder's room giving the piano a warmth and presence that Grundman's remaster now renders with renewed clarity.

Recorded at the famed Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey in 1991 by Rudy Van Gelder, and remastered in 2022 by legendary mastering engineer Bernie Grundman
