Product Details
Los Angeles-based Kiefer has spent years bridging the space between jazz harmony and hip-hop production, building a devoted following through projects that never quite fit a single category. Memory Bomb marks a significant step, bringing that restless creativity into the Blue Note lineage, a label whose catalog connects directly to the piano tradition Kiefer has spent his career reexamining from the ground up.
Kiefer’s jazz piano fluency and beat-making prowess are at the heart of a distinctive musical style he calls “over the breaks.” On his Blue Note debut with Memory Bomb, the pianist and producer worked with a range of collaborators including CARRTOONS, Shibo, Cisco Swank, Nate Smith, Walter Smith III, Erick the Architect, Planet Giza, and more.
