Product Details

Before building a devoted following through the indie and underground rock world, Kurt Vile spent years playing in Philadelphia bands and absorbing the city's working-class grit, which never really left his sound. A founding member of The War on Drugs, he eventually stepped out on his own and became one of his generation's most distinctive voices, blending lo-fi bedroom recording sensibility with sprawling, hypnotic guitar work rooted firmly in that Philly soil.

Kurt Vile's 'Philadelphia's been good to me' illustrates his love for his home city, where he still resides and records most of his music. This album includes his distinct jangly guitars, soaring instrumental passages, and lyrics that are both cheeky and sentimental at the same time. CD jewel case, 18-panel folded poster included.
