Product Details

Formed in Boston over two decades ago, Lake Street Dive has spent years honing a live chemistry that rarely translates cleanly to tape. Recording largely to two-track and embracing the imperfections that come with it, the band channeled something closer to the feel of a great room show than a studio session, the kind of energy their devoted following has chased across venues for years.

Lake Street Dive's ninth album, What About Flamingos?, captures the joy, spontaneity, and magic of friends making music together. Recorded mostly live, the band's first release on their own label brings their signature sound to life in a whole new way. What About Flamingos? is a celebration of friendship, connection, and the beauty of being present.
