Product Details

Linda Ronstadt had already proven her range across rock, country, opera, and mariachi before this collaboration, but pairing with Ann Savoy, a true authority on Louisiana Cajun and Creole traditions, pushed her into territory few mainstream artists would dare to explore. Savoy's deep roots in that world give the record an earned authenticity that goes beyond mere genre tourism.

2006’s Adieu False Heart saw folk-pop-country trailblazer, Linda Ronstadt, team up with acclaimed Cajun musician, Ann Savoy, for a collection of folk standards, Cajun songs, and pop hits. The pair expertly blends their voices and styles to create an authentic and truly unique album. Upon its original release, Adieu False Heart was nominated for two GRAMMY® awards. USA Today asserts, “this rootsy collection offers plenty of warm, nourishing showcases for their individual and combined gifts.”

This pressing marks the GRAMMY®-nominated album’s vinyl debut. Also available on CD.
