Product Details
Sacramento's Little Charlie Baty was one of the most underrated guitar voices in American blues, a player whose quick wit and cleaner-than-clean tone set the Nightcats apart from every other bar band claiming the jump blues mantle. By 1998, he and vocalist Rick Estrin had spent over two decades honing a sound rooted equally in T-Bone Walker swing and roadhouse grit, and it shows here.
In the 11 years since their Alligator debut, Little Charlie and the Nightcats have spear-headed the west coast jump Blues revival. As the titled suggests, Shadow Of The Blues is their best Blues album yet.
