By 1977, Little Feat were operating at a creative crossroads, with Lowell George increasingly stepping back and the rest of the band stepping up. *Time Loves a Hero* reflects that shift, leaning into the horn-driven, jazz-inflected ensemble sound that keyboardist Bill Payne and the broader band had been pushing toward, giving the record a collective energy that sets it apart from earlier Feat releases.

Little Feat's 1977 studio album, reissued on vinyl for the first time in over 40 years and cut from the original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman. Featuring hit singles "Time Loves a Hero", "Rocket in My Pocket" and "Old Folks Boogie"-which all went on to become some of the band's most coveted live concert staples.
