Logan Lynn – New Money (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Portland's Logan Lynn has been a fixture in the Pacific Northwest underground since the mid-2000s, building a devoted following through relentlessly honest songwriting and a willingness to blur the line between confessional indie sensibility and dancefloor electronics. New Money, released on the storied Kill Rock Stars label, marks a return to the synth-driven sound that first put him on the map, channeling genuine pandemic-era isolation into something you can actually move to.
Limited purple and pink colored vinyl LP pressing. Includes digital download. Written at home during the pandemic lockdown over the course of March-October 2020, and recorded in early 2021, New Money is a 9 song album by Portland electropop musician, Logan Lynn, produced in collaboration with longtime co-writer Gino Mari. Back to his electropop roots after collaborations with 80s popstar Tiffany, The Dandy Warhols and Styrofoam since 2018, New Money is an invitation to dance the last few years off. The record finds Logan Lynn exploring themes of life in the face of suffering, Covid loneliness, and existential danger on 'It's Been Forever' ('This is the growing edge, This is the dark part in between... oh God, it's been forever since we were together') and 'Is There Anyone Else Like This In The World' ('The truth is the truth and I want you to know that I want you to find somewhere safe and warm, away from home'), and navigating long-term addiction recovery on 'Sit and Spin' ('Well mama told me there'd be days like this but no one warned me that the nights are even harder... Pump me full of whatever you've found, I'll find a way back to love').
