Released in August 2018, just weeks before his death at 26, *Swimming* found Mac Miller at his most musically expansive, blending jazz-inflected production with raw introspection in ways that drew comparisons to the great singer-songwriter LPs of the 1970s. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and earned a posthumous Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album, cementing its place as the creative peak of a catalog that kept growing more ambitious with every release.

The fifth full-length release for the Pittsburgh rapper features guest appearances from Dām-Funk, Dicaprio, Dev Hynes, Snoop Dogg, Syd, and Thundercat.
