Product Details

Matt Stephenson's project arrived in 2014 as a pure product of DIY internet culture, blending hardcore, noise, and club music in ways that felt genuinely lawless. WLFGRL spread through Bandcamp and word of mouth among kids who needed music that matched the chaos they felt, building a devoted following long before any industry infrastructure caught up to what Machine Girl was doing.

Expanded edition includes nine bonus tracks. Machine Girl's iconic debut album, WLFGRL, turned 10 in 2024. It launched Machine Girl into underground folklore, created a thriving scene for outsiders, freaks and weirdos, and built the foundation for a massive fanbase approaching 1 million worldwide. The reissue will be launched with a one-off, livestreamed show at Trans-Pecos in Brooklyn, an important venue for the band over their 10-year career. This album has never been distributed to physical retail.
