Originally a bonus track on *The Immaculate Collection*, "Rescue Me" caught fire on radio and dancefloors despite never being intended as a standalone single, eventually climbing to number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. The gospel-inflected production, built around lush backing vocals and a propulsive groove, reflected Madonna's ongoing dialogue with Black American church music at a moment when she was pushing pop's boundaries in every direction.

A small collection of different mixes of Madonna's accidental hit "Rescue Me," which was initially recorded for a greatest hits album. The exploration of the sumptuous gospel track manages to be good and credible in each unique form.
