Maher Shalal Hash Baz – Faux Depart (LP Vinyl)

Toshiji Mikawa's sprawling Japanese collective has spent decades operating at the fringes of folk and avant-garde, building a quietly devoted international following through records that feel less composed than conjured. Faux Depart captures that fragile, homespun quality in full, the kind of music that rewards patience and rewards it differently every time you return to it.
