Product Details

Marillion arrived at *Misplaced Childhood* as one of the defining torchbearers of the neo-progressive movement, carrying the symphonic ambition of classic prog into an era dominated by synthesizers and MTV. Fish's confessional lyrics and the band's cinematic dynamics found an unlikely mass audience, proving that ambitious, uncompromising rock could still command a mainstream stage in the mid-80s.

Limited picture disc vinyl LP pressing. Originally released in 1985, Marillion's third studio album Misplaced Childhood is a concept album loosely based on Fish's childhood. Featuring the singles Kayleigh, Lavender and Heart of Lothian, the album went to #1 in the UK and was a top 10 for Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Norway. It has since gone platinum in the UK and Germany and gold in Switzerland
