Long before comic conventions filled arenas and Marvel dominated multiplexes, the House of Ideas built its fanbase the old-fashioned way, through mail-order fan clubs and flexi-disc novelties like this one. The Merry Marvel Marching Society was Stan Lee's mid-60s answer to DC's fan club, a grassroots community of true believers who got this goofy, earnest theme song as part of their membership kit.
