Product Details
Berninger has always worked best at the intersection of literary wit and late-night unease, a tension he refined across two decades fronting The National before stepping further into his own solo voice. Type It Up pushes that solo identity somewhere rawer, and the hot pink pressing makes a point of its own, pairing an unexpectedly vivid package with music that doesn't flinch.
Type It Up is produced by Sean O’Brien. The EP consists of six tracks, one of which is exclusively available on vinyl (Martini Me Fatso - Acoustic Live In Australia). NPR called Matt Berninger's sophomore album Get Sunk "a creative awakening... some of these songs are the best he's done. Type It Up is the follow up to Get Sunk, but it's grittier, moodier, and maybe even bolder."
