Spain's biggest pop export of the 1980s, Mecano reached full creative stride with this 1988 release, balancing the synth-driven energy that made them stars with a new lyrical sophistication from Ana Torroja and brothers Nacho and José María Cano. The album spawned some of the most enduring songs in the Spanish-language pop canon, cementing the trio's place well beyond their home country.
