Product Details
Released in 1992, Countdown to Extinction marked Megadeth's commercial breakthrough, reaching number two on the Billboard 200 and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. Dave Mustaine and company pulled back just enough on the thrash aggression to let the riffs breathe without softening the bite, landing "Symphony of Destruction" and "Skin o' My Teeth" on rock radio while keeping the band's sharp political edge intact.
This re-issue contains four previously unreleased bonus tracks "Crown of Worms," "Countdown to Extinction," "Symphony of Destruction" and "Psychotron."
