Milky Chance – Sadnecessary (LP Vinyl)
Milky Chance Vinyl Records
Product Details
Sadnecessary arrived in 2013 as a self-released debut before the music industry knew what to do with it, a bedroom-produced record that spread entirely through word of mouth and the early viral internet. "Stolen Dance" became one of those rare songs that crossed every algorithmic and geographic barrier, landing with equal force in European clubs and American living rooms. The album holds up as a document of what two kids with laptops and genuine songwriting instincts could pull off before anyone was paying attention.
Hailing from Kassel, Germany, Clemens & Phillip have been making music together since meeting in an 11th grade music class. The group describe their music as a "singer-songwriter spirit mixed with electronic beats. Somehow, it's always a little bit melancholy, but there's a positive spin. The video for their first single "Stolen Dance" quickly racked up 30 million views after being uploaded to youtube & became the most blogged about act on HypeM. The single reached #1 on iTunes chart in 25 countries & Top 10 in 53 countries. Sadnecessary is the group s self produced debut album.
