Product Details

Recorded and released in 2009, *Resistance* finds Matt Bellamy and company leaning hard into their arena-rock maximalism, with the three-part "Exogenesis Symphony" closing the album as an orchestral statement that caught plenty of progressive rock fans off guard in the best way. The record topped charts across Europe and reached the top five in the U.S., cementing the band's crossover from cult favorite to genuine stadium force.

Following seven years of near solid touring, Muse escalated from being the biggest band in Teignmouth in 1997 to one of the biggest bands in Europe by 2004. With each successive album, they pushed the musical envelope with a fusion of progressive rock, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation, creating an emotive, passionate sound. Muse's reputation as one of the best live rock bands in the world is well deserved with their exhilarating live performances drawing critical acclaim, industry buzz, and a loyal and rabid fan base. This 2 LP set is a 180 gram pressing from Record Industry.
