My Chemical Romance – The Black Parade: 20th Anniversary (CD)
Product Details
Released at a moment when rock radio was being written off and emo was being dismissed as a phase, The Black Parade landed in October 2006 like a refusal to apologize. Gerard Way and company built a full theatrical concept around mortality and memory, drawing as much from Queen and Pink Floyd as from punk, and the result became a generational touchstone that radio couldn't ignore. The addition of previously unreleased live material from the 2007 world tour makes this anniversary edition essential for anyone who lived through that era.
My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)" includes the original album plus six bonus tracks: three live performances from The Black Parade World Tour (2007), never before released on physical music formats, and three rare B-sides. The live performances include "Someone Out There Loves You," long referred to by MCR fans as "Stay," performed on the tour but never officially recorded. Released in October 2006, The Black Parade follows The Patient through his reflections on life and his passage into the afterlife, built on the concept that death visits people in the form of their earliest cherished memory. Packaged in an O-card and wallet with a 16-page lyric folder and new art insert.
