Product Details
Dropped in 1994 when Nas was just 20 years old, Illmatic distilled the entire weight of Queensbridge housing projects into 39 minutes, setting a bar for lyricism that New York rap has been measured against ever since. Producers DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, and Large Professor gave each track its own texture, making the album feel like a complete world rather than a collection of songs.
