Product Details
Vermont's Noah Kahan was still finding his footing when he released this debut, but the emotional directness and regional specificity that would later fill festival stages were already present in raw form. For fans who've followed his rise through the folk-adjacent touring circuit, owning this on wax is a chance to hear where the whole arc began.
Five years later, I Was / I Am remains a poignant snapshot of Noah Kahan’s songwriting, exploring identity, change, and the space between who we were and who we’re becoming. Pressed on tangerine vinyl with a new, limited-edition 5-year anniversary Obi Strip, this release celebrates an album that laid the foundation for one of folk-pop’s defining voices.
