Before *Stick Season* turned him into a household name in the folk-pop world, Kahan was already doing the hard work of figuring out who he was on record. *I Was / I Am* captures that earlier chapter, the restless, searching quality that would eventually crystallize into the sound his now-devoted fanbase claims so fiercely as their own.

Critically acclaimed Vermont singer/songwriter Noah Kahan releases his sophomore album, I Was / I Am, on Republic Records. Noah has quietly emerged as a homegrown phenomenon with a combination of vivid and powerful songwriting. He's racked up over 1 billion streams across his catalog, picked up a Gold-certification for "Hurt Somebody" featuring Julia Michaels, and performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and TODAY.
