Product Details

Orgy landed at exactly the right moment, when the late-90s rock landscape was hungry for something that could bridge Nine Inch Nails-style electronics with the heaviness dominating MTV's Headbangers Ball. Their reimagining of "Blue Monday" introduced a generation of nu-metal fans to New Order's legacy while proving the band had genuine pop instincts beneath the industrial grit. Candyass holds up as a snapshot of a very specific cultural flashpoint.

Industrial/metal/glam outfit Orgy was the first act signed by Korn's Jonathan Davis to his Elementree imprint, and the move paid off right away with their 1998 debut, which went Top 30 and scored a huge hit with it's cover of New Order's "Blue Monday." With the full cooperation of the band, we've had it remastered for vinyl (by Mike Milchner of Sonic Vision) and placed this platter inside a beautiful gatefold jacket. Orange with black swirl pressing!
