Slow Buildings arrived in 1994 as Pale Saints were already dissolving, which gives the album a particular bittersweet weight that the Leeds band's cult following has carried ever since. Guitarist Graeme Naysmith had departed, and the record found Ian Masters and company pushing toward a lusher, more song-centered sound than the swirling noise-pop of their 4AD debut. That evolution went largely unheard at the time, making this 22-track expansion a genuine second chance for one of the most underappreciated records in the label's storied catalog.

Pale Saints complete their series of 30th anniversary reissues with the expanded edition of their third and final album, 'Slow Buildings'. As with their first two reissues, this special pressing sees a long out of print album being expanded to run over 2 discs, this time to include the 'Fine Friend' EP and a selection of previously unheard tracks and demos.
