Westing collects the Slay Tracks, Demolition Plot J-7, Perfect Sound Forever, and Summer Babe singles into one essential document of Pavement finding their footing in Stockton and Drag City's early orbit, before Slanted and Enchanted made them indie rock's unlikely standard-bearers. Stephen Malkmus and Spiral Stairs were already operating on their own frequency here, lo-fi by necessity but visionary by instinct. For anyone tracing the full arc, this is where the signal first came in.

PAVEMENT WESTING (BY MUSKET AND SEXTANT) Coming 15th July: the first Matador pressing of Pavement's Westing (By Musket And Sextant), the compilation of Pavement's early work from 1989-1993. The new pressing coincides with this year's release of the Terror Twilight: Farewell Horizontal 4xLP box set and a 30th anniversary limited vinyl edition of Slanted & Enchanted. Pavement begins several months out touring by headlining Primavera Sound Barcelona before continuing onto sold-out tour dates in North America and Europe.
