Product Details
Collins had just wrapped his Both Sides world tour, one of the most ambitious solo production runs of his era, before stepping into a deliberately sunnier headspace for this record. The orange and blue vinyl pressing gives a collection rooted in West African rhythmic influence the kind of tactile, eye-catching treatment it deserves for collectors finally ready to revisit a maligned-but-fun chapter of mid-90s pop.
Released in 1996, Dance Into The Light is a vibrant, horn-drenched celebration of rhythm and optimism. Departing from the darker, introspective tones of his previous album Both Sides, Collins infused this record with mid-tempo pop hooks, African-inspired rhythms, and a joyous energy that practically begs you to move. Featuring the uplifting title track "Dance Into The Light," the soul-stirring "It's In Your Eyes," and a spirited cover of Bob Dylan’s "The Times They Are A-Changin’," this album showcases Collins' legendary showmanship and unparalleled percussion work.
