Recorded in the final years of his life, these sessions capture Lynott in a reflective, solo mode, separate from the arena rock identity Thin Lizzy had built around "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Jailbreak." As a songwriter, he consistently threaded Irish identity and street-level storytelling through hard rock in ways few of his contemporaries attempted, and these tracks show that restless creative spirit working outside the band context.
Philip Lynott was a renowned Irish musician who is best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and primary songwriter of Thin Lizzy. He was noted for his distinctive pick-based style on the bass and for his imaginative lyrics, including working-class tales and numerous characters drawn from personal influences and Celtic culture. The long-lost Fatalistic Attitude album is now available as a standalone LP for the first time. The album is fully supported by his estate as a fitting tribute to the great man's work.
