Product Details
Recorded in ten days with Steve Albini in 1988, Surfer Rosa rewired the DNA of alternative rock before most people knew what alternative rock was. Kurt Cobain famously cited it as a primary influence on Nevermind, and you can hear exactly why: the raw, room-mic'd drums, Black Francis's explosive dynamic shifts, and Kim Deal's understated cool set a template that echoed through the next decade of guitar music.
These classic studio albums were re-mastered from the original tapes and are now available at a low midline price.
