Les Claypool's slap-and-pop bass work hit like nothing else in the early '90s, pulling Primus into an unlikely mainstream spotlight while the band stayed defiantly weird. Tracks like "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver" and "Tommy the Cat" became touchstones for a generation of musicians who learned that funk, metal, and pure absurdist humor could coexist in the same groove.

What's to be said about one of the biggest underground alternative rock phenomenon's of the '90's first ever best of collection? Simply put, THEY CAN'T ALL BE ZINGERS. Primus, with legendary bassist Les Claypool, avant-garde guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde and Tim "Herb" Alexander's skillful beat-down on the skins, have crafted over the years a truly spectacular catalog, consisting of 7 albums, 4 EPs and 2 DVD collections but no retrospective CD collection. THEY CAN'T ALL BE ZINGERS finally settles that vital missing element to any band's arsenal with a 16 track compilation.
