Product Details
Recorded largely live at First Avenue in Minneapolis, the club that served as Prince's home stage and the film's central setting, *Purple Rain* captured a performer at the absolute peak of his powers. The Revolution were never tighter, and the title track's slow-build guitar climax remains one of the most emotionally devastating moments in rock history.
Gospel, rock, funk... it's all here on this soundtrack to the film loosely based on Prince's life. He grabbed an Academy Award and two Grammies for these gems and you'll know 'em all: Let's Go Crazy; When Doves Cry; I Would Die 4 U; plus the title track and more!
