Quiet Riot – Metal Health (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Quiet Riot came up through the Los Angeles club scene of the late '70s and early '80s, a circuit that also forged Van Halen and Mötley Crüe, but it was Kevin DuBrow's powerhouse vocals and Carlos Cavazo's guitar work that pushed them over the top. Their cover of Slade's "Cum On Feel The Noize" introduced a generation of American teens to a song that had already been a UK glam-rock staple a decade earlier, proving that the right band at the right moment can make a borrowed song feel completely its own.
Originally released in 1983, Metal Health was a turning point in the history of metal. Featuring the monster hits "Cum On Feel The Noize" and "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" and fueled by constant rotation on radio and MTV, the album was the first heavy metal album to top the US charts and went on to sell 10 million copies worldwide.
