Product Details
Brooklyn duo Evan Mast and Mike Stroud built their self-titled debut around a deceptively simple formula: crunchy, overdriven guitar lines layered over programmed beats, with zero vocals to get in the way. Released in 2004, it arrived at a moment when the line between indie rock and electronic music was dissolving fast, and Ratatat landed squarely in that gap.
Formerly known as Cherry, this NYC duo is already familiar to hipsters and they've also toured the West Coast with Interpol. In fact, Interpol's Paul Banks occasionally guests on guitar. Look for them to tour in support of this debut.
