Product Details
Growing up in Texas while playing music rooted in the Midwest emo tradition gives Riley! a geographic tension that bleeds through every track here. The bone with rainbow splatter pressing makes a strong case for owning this one physically, the kind of artifact that feels right for a debut that swings hard and doesn't hedge.
Texas trio Riley! channel the restless energy of Midwest emo into something raw, chaotic, and unmistakably their own on TO LIVE AND DIE IN THE AMERICAN SOUTH, their debut release for Pure Noise Records. Built on twinkly guitars, explosive hooks, and deeply personal songwriting, the EP captures the feeling of growing up isolated while searching for connection and belonging. Featuring guest appearances from Tades Sanville of Hot Mulligan, Eric Egan of Heart Attack Man, and Gabe Wood of Saturdays at Your Place, Riley! deliver a fearless and emotionally charged collection that positions them as one of emo?s most exciting new voices.
