The Mizell Brothers were at the peak of their powers in the late 1970s, and Glenn's flute work gave their lush, percussion-driven productions a distinctly West Coast edge that set this one apart from the rest of their catalog.

Featuring The Mizell Brothers’ signature production rich with rolling rhythms, soaring instrumentation, vibrant percussion arrangements, and funky organs, Roger Glenn’s 1977 sizzler Reachin’ is a Latin Jazz fusion flute explosion making a long-awaited return to vinyl after five decades as part of Jazz Dispensary’s Top Shelf series. Cut from the original analog tapes (AAA) by Kevin Gray, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing, and packaged in a tip-on jacket.
