Product Details

Before *Something/Anything?* made him a studio wizard and *A Wizard, A True Star* cemented his cult status, Todd Rundgren was a live performer with a band, working out ideas in real time. This 1971 WMMR broadcast catches him at a pivotal moment, fresh off the two Runt albums and on the verge of the solo breakthrough that would redefine his career, in the same Philadelphia studio where he'd soon record some of the most ambitious pop music of the decade.

The first ever solo Todd Rundgren performance captured at Philadelphia’s legendary Sigma Sound Studios on June 30th, 1971 and broadcast live over WMMR. Featuring future Utopia keyboardist Mark “Moogy” Klingman, bassist Stu Woods, guitarist Tom Cosgrove and drummer Norman “N.D.” Smart. Pressed on Transparent Light Blue Vinyl.
