Carlos Santana's guitar tone is one of the most instantly recognizable sounds in rock history, a singing sustain rooted equally in the blues, Afro-Cuban rhythm, and San Francisco psychedelia. Long before the late-'90s Supernatural comeback introduced him to a new generation, the band's early Columbia records were staples of the FM dial and festival circuit, built on percussion-driven grooves that still hit differently than anything else from that era.

2013 2X CD Legacy Essential Series 29 track collection from the San Francisco Latin rock band fronted by legendary guitarist Carlos Santana. They burst on the scene in 1969 with their energized performance at Woodstock & released their debut album that year. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
