Sean Paul – Scorcha (CD)
Sean Paul CDs
Product Details
Scorcha finds Sean Paul returning to the Kingston sound that made him a global crossover force in the early 2000s, leaning into the community-minded spirit of reggae tradition rather than chasing radio trends. The features here read like a who's who of Jamaican music royalty, grounding the album firmly in the island's living culture.
Primed for a massive summer, multi-award-winning Billboard chart topper Sean Paul heats up 2022 with his 8th full-length album & Island Records debut, Scorcha, on 5/27. The album is a collaborative celebration of his Jamaican heritage and dancehall roots in which Sean trades the mic with Buju Banton and Damian Marley. Dance hall can be stereotyped as a competitive, macho space where sound clashes are king, but Live N Livin set out to emphasize what's possible when unity is the goal.
