Product Details
Shane MacGowan spent decades writing songs that felt like they'd always existed, drinking songs and laments and wild celebrations pulled straight from the Irish diaspora's complicated relationship with memory, identity, and belonging. His work with The Pogues brought traditional Irish music crashing into punk rock at a moment when both needed the collision. A tribute album drawing from that catalog isn't nostalgia; it's acknowledgment of how deep these songs actually run.
