Product Details

Seasons in the Abyss landed in 1990 at a crossroads moment for thrash metal, when Slayer had enough commercial momentum from Reign in Blood and South of Heaven to experiment without losing their edge. The title track became one of the band's most iconic videos and a live staple, capturing a rare atmospheric side of Tom Araya, Kerry King, and Jeff Hanneman at the peak of their chemistry.

Also out of print here in the US, SEASONS IN THE ABYSS sees Slayer taking a more polished direction creating a more melodic yet heavier sound than their prior releases.
