Product Details

Released in October 1995, Mellon Collie arrived at a moment when alternative rock was reaching for something bigger than itself, and Billy Corgan answered with a 28-track double album that swung from orchestral balladry to sledgehammer distortion without flinching. The live audio included here captures the band at the height of their powers, on a tour that remains one of the most talked-about arena runs of the '90s.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Smashing Pumpkins’ diamond-certified magnum opus, this new 4CD deluxe edition includes the classic singles "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," “1979,” "Zero" and "Tonight, Tonight" plus over 80 minutes of unreleased Infinite Sadness Tour 1996 audio and new liner notes from Billy Corgan. Praised for its ambitious scope, diverse sound and emotional depth, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness earned the band seven Grammy Award nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year and is widely regarded as a cohesive, powerful work of art and one of the greatest albums of all time.
