Frank Son Seals came up hard, learning guitar from his father who ran a juke joint in Osceola, Arkansas, and later absorbing the raw electric Chicago style firsthand from Albert King and Junior Wells. By the time *Midnight Son* first appeared in 1976, he was playing the North Side clubs with a ferocity that made other guitarists take notice. This reissue brings that debut back into circulation for a new generation still chasing that sound.
