Sons Of Otis – Spacejumbofudge (Purple LP Vinyl)

Toronto's Sons of Otis have been grinding out their particular brand of fuzz-drenched, sludge-soaked heavy psych since the early '90s, largely beneath the mainstream radar but deeply revered among devotees of the heavier end of the stoner rock spectrum. Spacejumbofudge, originally released in 1997, captures the band at their most hypnotically lumbering, built on downtuned riffs and a relentless, narcotic low-end that owes as much to Blue Cheer as it does to the Melvins.
