Product Details

Telephono landed in 1996 on Matador Records and announced Spoon as something genuinely strange and promising, a Texas band running post-punk nerves through a skeletal rock framework that owed more to Wire and the Fall than anything coming out of Austin at the time. Britt Daniel's songwriting instincts were already fully formed here, even if the recording was ragged by design.

Coming July 24th: Spoon's debut LP Telephono is back in print for the first time since its initial release nearly 25 years ago. Newly recut from the original masters, the 14 tracks are available as a single LP or as a CD that includes the five song 1997 EP Soft Effects.
