Product Details

Released in 2023 as part of Swift's ongoing project to reclaim ownership of her masters, 1989 originally dropped in 2014 and marked her full pivot to pop, sweeping the Grammy Awards including Album of the Year. The Taylor's Version recuts restore her artistic ownership of recordings she lost in a high-profile dispute with her former label, Big Machine Records, a story that reshaped broader industry conversations about artist rights and catalog control.

The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long! Pre-order 1989 (Taylor’s Version) now.
