Sacramento's Tesla has always worn their classic rock influences on their sleeve, from the acoustic detour of *Five Man Acoustical Jam* to the straight-ahead hard rock that made *Mechanical Resonance* a sleeper hit of the late '80s. Cutting these covers direct to tape the way the originals were made is less an exercise in nostalgia than a statement of values, proof that a band built on feel over flash still knows exactly where they come from.
REAL TO REEL allows Classic Rock band Tesla to teslafy classic rock songs from the late 60s and early 70s, recorded directly to analog tape with vintage gear for a sonic purity that is as timeless as the originals but with Tesla sound.
