Product Details
Manchester's The 1975 arrived at their second album having already converted festival crowds on both sides of the Atlantic, with Matty Healy's band leaning deeper into synth-pop grandeur and dream-pop atmosphere than their debut hinted at. Released in February 2016, the record debuted at No. 1 in both the UK and the US, a rare transatlantic feat that cemented their crossover from buzz band to genuine arena-level act.
The Manchester-bred band has built its reputation here and overseas on the strength of its rollicking live shows as well as its self-titled 2013 debut album, which entered the UK album chart at No. 1. It has done well over half a million in sales and stream album equivalents, fueled by the success of the gold-certified single Chocolate. October 2015 s Love Me marked the first single to be released from The 1975 s upcoming new album I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it - which is due from Dirty Hit / Interscope Records on February 26, 2016.
